As the Office of Admission’s largest recruitment event of the year, Rumble in the Jungle is a high-energy open house designed for prospective students who are ready to explore their college options and discover life as a Gorilla.
Spend a fun-filled day in Gorilla Nation with future classmates while experiencing all that Pittsburg State University has to offer. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with professors and staff during an academic fair, explore campus facilities through optional tours, learn more about student life, and discover the many opportunities available at Pitt State.
Complimentary coffee and donuts will be provided at check-in, and lunch for attendees will be served in Gibson Dining Hall. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience Gorilla Nation firsthand by attending a Pitt State Gorilla football game that afternoon!
We can't wait to welcome you to campus for an exciting day of exploring, connecting with future classmates, and experiencing what it truly means to be a Gorilla!
This is a FREE event for prospective students! Additional guests are welcome to attend for $10 per person, which includes lunch and a football game ticket. Kids 12 and under are FREE! Sorry....no refunds!
Student Recreation Center (SRC) and HHPR The Student Recreation Center (SRC) is a multi-use facility that houses the Kansas National Guard, Military Science (ROTC), Campus Recreation, and the Department of Health, Human Performance & Recreation (HHPR). This tour begins with a short introduction to the SRC’s features, history, and student programs. The second part of the tour will include an overview of the department of HHPR and its accredited programs including Exercise Science, Recreation Services, Sport & Hospitality Management, and Physical Education.
